Who you're talking to

Primary targets in Bali:

  • Individuals with clothes they no longer wear (18-32)
  • Small thrift and secondhand boutiques
  • Pasar seni and weekend market vendors
  • University campuses, Udayana, STIKI, STMIK
  • Fashion-active Instagram accounts based in Bali

The pitch, memorise this

Opening (2 sentences):

"Hei, boleh minta 2 menit? Saya dari Pasar Seken, marketplace baru khusus fashion seken di Bali, gratis untuk jualan, gak ada komisi sama sekali."

60-second explanation:

"Jadi gini, banyak orang punya baju bagus yang udah gak dipakai, tapi males jual karena ribet. Di Pasar Seken, caranya simple banget: foto, upload, tunggu pembeli. Gratis. Kalau laku, uangnya langsung masuk ke kamu."

The close:

"Mau saya tunjukin langsung? Atau boleh saya simpan nomor WA kamu, nanti saya kirimin link untuk daftar?"

"Beda apa sama Shopee?""Shopee general marketplace. Pasar Seken khusus fashion seken, jadi pembelinya memang lagi cari barang kayak yang kamu jual."
"Beda apa sama jual di IG?""Di IG kamu harus balas DM satu-satu, nego sendiri, ngatur pengiriman sendiri. Di sini semua ada sistemnya."
"Nanti aja deh""Boleh. Ini nomor WA saya, kalau mau coba listing pertama, saya bisa bantu langsung, gratis."

What to NEVER say

  • ❌ "Barang bekas", always say "seken" or "secondhand"
  • ❌ "Preloved", competitor Preloved.co.id owns that word; say "fashion seken" or "seken"
  • ❌ "Murah" or "diskon", SEKEN is not a discount platform
  • ❌ "Coba-coba dulu", sounds uncommitted
  • ❌ Anything that makes it sound complicated

Daily workflow

Morning (start of day):

  • Check team WA for any updates
  • Plan your route for the day (minimum 3 locations)
  • Make sure you have flyers or business cards

During the day:

  • Hit 10 meaningful conversations minimum
  • Add every interested person to the seller WA community immediately, do not wait until they've listed their first item
  • Note every "no" and why, this is valuable data for the team
